Welcome back, lions! As St. Mark’s is kicking off the “best year ever”, the SML Broadcast Podcast summer team is rolling out a new look for the first episode of the podcast’s ninth season. While there are new changes to podcast, there have also been a number of school-wide improvements over the summer. Anchors Kayla Acuna and Juliana Zonni introduce Dr. Clark as she delivers a welcome back message, complete with an update on the SML campus and curriculum. Reporter Piper Won joins the team with the latest announcements, followed by reporters Isaak Dahdul, Seth Guerrero, and Chigozie Obinwanne who reveal the SML Highlights from summer 2019. With the 8th grade news team members on the East Coast trip, the 7th grade podcasters are running the show. Anchors Rylee Birtja and Collin Nelson kick things off with the announcements, followed by Calendar Man Matthew Aceves with the weekly updates. Next, Epic Sports anchors Jolene Hernandez and Mariella Rezko run through the 2018-2019 Players of the Year, and reporters Grace Clark and Madison Gallegos give the low down on the summer SML sports camps. Finally, field reporters Sonia Bhatia and Daniela Lopez feature the final teacher of the school year.
